The Last Door: Season 2 Collector’s Edition arrives March 29th
In low-res, no one can hear you scream.
Just when you thought it was safe to go back in the low-res.
Take the low-res. Take the low-res. For God’s sake, take the okay, enough of that nonsense.
Phoenix Online Publishing and The Game Kitchen announced today that The Last Door: Season 2 – Collector’s Edition will be released for Macintosh and other systems on March 29th. It’s currently available via Steam Early Access (for PC only), offering those who’ve dared to brave the low-res / high-suspense horror experience new characters, a larger world, more puzzles, new mysteries, upgraded art and effects, and even more gameplay than Season 1’s “love letter to Lovecraft.”
The Last Door: Season 2 is told in four episodes, continuing where the first season left off. Dr. John Wakefield, psychiatrist to Season 1’s protagonist Jeremiah Devitt, sets out in search of his client, who has mysteriously vanished (as opposed to all those who just, you know…expectedly vanish). Wakefield is, of course, drawn into a haunting web of forbidden knowledge, madness, and a deep conspiracy hiding it all.
Players will guide Dr. Wakefield through new Victorian-era locations, characters, and scenes as they solve puzzles in at attempt to uncover forbidden knowledge that may be driving you mad. Inspired by the works of H.P. Lovecraft and Edgar Allen Poe, The Last Door: Season 2 also features a haunting, original musical score by Carlos Viola.
