Rome: Total War arrives on iPad this week
Good news, mobile gamers; on Thursday, November 10th, you’ll be able Rome if you want to, Rome around the world when Creative Assembly and Feral Interactive release Rome: Total War for iPad.
The classic strategy game of real-time warfare has been optimized for tablets, utilizing an “… intuitive touch-screen interface to accurately replicate the desktop game’s mouse and keyboard controls.” We’ll have to see how that works, as the Total War games are nothing if not complicated. But before you start to fear the games has been “dumbed down” for iOS, consider that the mobile version is not compatible with iPhone, so there’s at least enough detail to warrant the larger screen.
Rome: Total War will also boast upgraded, high-resolution Retina graphics that will help bring the 3D battlefield to life with thousands of units.
And if you want further proof that Creative Assembly and Feral Interactive know what they’re doing, take note that Rome: Total War will cost $9.99. That’s right, you’ll pay for the game, and you’ll get the game. Before you do, though, take note of the requirements. Rome: Total War will work on a first iPad Air or newer, an iPad mini 2 or newer, or any iPad Pro, but it will also require just under 4GB of free space to install. If you’re still rocking a 16GB model, you’d better wrap up whatever else you’re playing and get to deleting.
