Phantom of the Kill now available for iOS with early bonuses

Phantom of the KillLast week, we gave you a preview of Fuji&gumi Games’ turn-based tactical RPG Phantom of the Kill. The good news then was that the game is fantastic. The better news now is that Phantom of the Kill is available for iOS and Android devices throughout North America and Europe. Now’s the time to get it, too, as it comes with plenty of early log-in bonuses.

This is normally the part of the announcement recap where I’d offer my own thoughts on the game, but I’ll save those for our full review to come later tonight. Instead, I’ll turn it over to gumi’s PR team:

In Phantom of the Kill, you will:

  • Join “Killer Princes” and “Killer Princesses,” warriors named after legendary weapons, in their epic battle against evil. Turn the tides of war with a swipe of your finger in this tactical role-playing game that combines strategy with drama!
  • Strategize, Lead, and Attack Single-Handed: Easy to use touch controls―exactly what smartphone gamers have been waiting for. Get started in no time. Zero frustration…just fun!
  • Fight Your Way to Glory with Wild Units and Weapons: With over 50 unit classes and six weapon types, the possibilities truly are endless. Add dragoons, swordmasters, mages, gunners, and other units to your team, form the perfect party with insanely cool weapons, and then lead them to victory! Try your hand with axes, lances, swords, and other weapons at your disposal. How will you defeat your enemies?

To celebrate the global launch, Fuji&gumi Games is holding a limited time campaign in which players will get a free daily login bonus of Lazuli, the game’s premium currency. In addition, the story quest will yield 1.5 times the usual player and unit experience points during this period. It’s a great way to be rewarded for your early interest in the game.

Phantom of the Kill is available now for free in the iTunes App Store for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. In-app purchases are available, they’re more for increasing your character and weapon count, neither of which I’ve found necessary to enjoy the story campaign…thus far.
