Here’s your chance to be a Glorious Savior

KEMCO is back at it with yet another RPG for iPhone, this time in the guise of Glorious Savior, a game that focuses as much on weapons as on the character using them.

That’s not to say, of course, that the characters aren’t important. On the contrary, like any good JRPG Glorious story involves an unlikely hero and a quest that has implications far beyond the immediate need…which in this case is simply to retrieve a sword.

The Hero’s Sword, which was used 300 years ago to defeat the Overlord, has been stolen, and demons are becoming more and more common. Rain, a member of the aristocracy, is ordered directly by the King to get the sword back, and sets off on a quest with his attendant, Viola, to find the sword. They don’t know, though, that their quest will become a journey through time, to places far off in the past.

The binding strings of fate, and the desire to trust someone… Where will these tangled threads lead them? This is the beginning of an epic story, a story that spans everlasting time! Find out as this epic story unfolds!

But back to the weapons, characters can equip multiple combos, and success in battle is decided by the way the weapons are used (in other words, know your enemy). Weapons that aren’t used collect Aura, which increases their strength for upcoming battles; use it at just the right time and even the strongest enemies can be cut down with a single blow. Get your characters into a “fever state” and they will become even more powerful and have a greater chance of acquiring gold, experience, and rare items.

Luckily, you don’t have just the main story in which to try out your weapons. The Fairy Garden, shut off from the outside world, is a dungeon of mysteries that changes each time you enter. Head there to get some practice, as well as find special weapons and rare items with powerful effects.

Glorious Savior is available now in the iOS App Store for $4.99, on special from its normal price of $7.99. You’ll also get 1,000 in-app bonus points. If you’d like to try it out without committing with cash, a free version is also available.
