Well, this is certainly good news for Western gamers eagerly anticipating the chance to ride into battle with William Shakespeare. Aniplex of America has announced that—after a highly successful launch in select Asian markets—Fate/Grand Order is now available in North America for iOS and Android.

Fate/Grand Order is a tactical turn-based role-playing game in which players summon powerful allies or Heroic Spirits who are based on historical figures such as King Arthur, William Shakespeare, Hercules, and Joan of Arc. Released nearly two years ago in Japan (and more recently in China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macau) the game has been downloaded over 9 million times and has consistently topped iOS and Android charts.

Of course, you know all of this if you’ve been following the social media campaign. If so, you stand to be rewarded for your early interest in the game.

In-game prizes included the Craft Essence “Beginning of the Journey,” 6,000 Friend Points, ten 4-star Blaze of Wisdom, five each of the 3-star Hero Crystals Sun Fou and Star Fou, a whopping 42 Saint Quartz, and one 4-star Servant from a choice of ten. Additionally, players unlocked the Saber Class Servant SABER LILY.

Not a bad way to get started on your journey through time, right?

That’s right, a journey through time. Because…

Society was created by human hands, but Mages grasped the truth of the world. Magecraft is comprised of techniques from past humans that cannot be explained by science, while science encompasses the techniques of future humans that Magecraft cannot achieve.

Researchers and scholars of both Magecraft and science have been gathered to maintain human civilization.

AD. 1950: Successful creation of the Phenomenon Recording Cyber Daemon: Laplace
AD. 1990: Completion of the Global Environment Model: Chaldeas
AD. 1999: Completion of the Near-Future Observation Lens: Shiva
AD. 2004: Completion of the Heroic Spirit Summoning System: Fate
AD. 2017: Completion of the Spiritron Calculation Engine: Trismegistus

The organization has continued to churn out splendid achievements, and thanks to Chaldea, the continued history of the human race was ensured up to 100 years in the future.

But then, in 2017…
